Hachette Publishing Group were bringing together their eight publishing divisions into one space for the first time. With each division having its own unique identity and being in competition with each other, this was a complex brief.
Working with HOK Associates, we created a graphics concept that could be adapted for each division - using colour to distinguish individual areas from those that were collaborative, mixing elegant and bold type so that the end result is impactful yet refined. The wayfinding concept was based on book spines, creating a strong vertical line up through the impressive atrium.
